Dear WA family!
We want you to know that we 'hear' you. To make these challenging times a little less daunting, WA administration, faculty, and staff continue to brainstorm how we can help you to continue adapting to the 'new normal' for 2020/2021 school year. As most of you already know, WA has instituted a 'hybrid schedule,' but what does that mean? A hybrid schedule means students will be learning both at school and at home using our distance online learning platforms Zoom and Google Classroom.
How does this work? Students are divided into two cohorts:
Your safety is important to us. On Wednesdays, our custodians conduct a deep cleaning of all the campus buildings. Daily health screenings are required by all WA students and employees before entering our school buildings or getting on a bus.
You probably still have a few more questions, and this is why we created a document to anticipate some of those questions. 'Frequently Asked Questions: A Day in the Life of a WA Student' can be accessed under the 'MORE' drop-down menu above or by clicking here. We believe the answers to these questions will help to put your mind at ease.
New for the spring semester, we have added a fourth period study hall for students needing extra help from their teachers. Other students may use this time to participate in clubs and activities. As you can see, we continue to work hard building a school year that is smooth, seamless, and safe as possible. If you are a potential student, you may be curious about what our daily or even weekly schedule is like. For your convenience, we have included these schedules under the 'Home' drop-down menu above. Are you interested in our Early College and AP programs, if so, please review the information for these courses under the 'STUDENT' drop-down menu above. If you have any questions about other classes, please contact our Guidance Department.
We encourage you to browse through our NEW website resources! Don't forget to 'bookmark it' on your computer or cellphone so that you can quickly return to our site at your convenience. Resources for learning how to use Google Classroom, Zoom, and other Google tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slide, & Drive) can all be accessed from the drop-down menus above under TEACHERS, STUDENTS, and PARENTS. And like in the past, the Larson Library Media Center's website still provides you access (See 'MORE' drop-down menu above ) to all the library's digital resources 24/7. Please keep checking back, as this website will be continuously evolving in an ongoing effort to support the needs of our school community.
If you are a new student, we welcome you to our WA family . . . if you are a returning student, we can hardly wait to see you again!

- Some students have chosen to access classes by going fully online, which is okay too! Please contact our Guidance Department ASAP if you wish to do so.
